I did something scary today.

I went shopping for print fabrics! I have a really difficult time visualizing fabric on the bolt made into a garment. I just can't seem to do it without a lot of gnashing of teeth, wringing of hands, pulling of hair. You get what I mean. Am I the only one who has difficulty with this?

 I bought  Vogue 1247. I can't remember where I saw it for the first time, there have been so many people who have made it. It is a loose fitting top and looks perfect for summer wear.

After seeing Carolyn's post ( http://handmadebycarolyn.blogspot.com/) and the inside of the garment with all the intersecting seams, it might be better to make it in a print, just in case mine doesn't turn out as perfect as hers. Which frankly, is more than likely. Oh, hell it is a certainty. Anyway I bought two prints. What do you think?

This one has a cream background, with black, olive and gray.

The color is way off on this one, what looks white here is actually a medium gray.

The fabric is in the wash, and I am going to trace off the pattern. Then hopefully the dogs will cooperate and let me sew this afternoon and evening.  Wish me luck.
