Weight loss update!

I know I said a while back that I wasn't going to make my poor excuse for a sewing blog into a weight loss blog, but this week I made a significant milestone. Twenty point three pounds! Yup 20.3 pounds. Since June 8.  An average of two pounds a week. Needless to say I am pleased.

I am at least a size smaller and so many clothes I haven't worn in a while have made their way back into rotation. There are also clothes that are unwearable. I destroyed three pairs of pants this week, turning them into rags. Why would I not take them to a thrift store you ask. They were so worn that even homeless people wouldn't want them, besides it was cathartic. It is a little disconcerting (in a good way) when every time you wear something it fits differently than the last time.

Oh, by the way, food does so taste better than thin feels.

    1. Thank you. I am "doing" Weight Watchers, they have changed the program recently and it is so easy to follow, I really am loving it.

  5. Thumbs WAY up!!! And I'm betting that your taste buds will change as you get used to eating healthier foods and your body gets healthier, and thin WILL feel as good as food tastes!

Actually, I'm making a bit of a leap in an assumption that you are, indeed, eating healthier foods - that's not the case with all diets.... ?

    1. My taste buds have already changed, for instance sweetened yogurt is too sweet now, I prefer dark chocolate to milk chocolate, there are other changes too.

I am eating healthier, Weight Watchers such a great and healthy program, it makes it easy.

      Thank you.

    1. You are right about being lighter on my feet, my feet don't hurt anywhere near as much as they did before I began, that is such a bonus. Thank you so much for your support, I probably wouldn't be doing as well as I am if you hadn't asked for a buddy.

I've been away from the blogosphere for a few weeks, so it's been good catching up on your blog. You're always a good read!

  9. Isn't it great to "find" clothes in the closet that fit again? Since my foot surgery in Feb, I decided to get serious and drop some weight before inactivity during the 12 weeks of recovery added more pounds to this old body. Now at 18+ pounds lighter I have "found" some clothes in the closet that actually hang loose and the pants need a belt! What a great feeling and you must have found new energy as well! Congratulations!
